Re: Problem installing Kisan headlight modulator
I have one in my 2003 and it works fine. I don't recall which model I got. However, I had the same issue of the plug not fitting flush. I called Kisan and it's not a problem?! I've used it 2 seasons and it truely hasn't been a problem. I do NOT recommend installing sensor in the top of the headlight...

Get it
I bought a used '03 last October with 15,000 miles. I've got 22,000 and change on it now. Can't tell you much about mtce...all pretty standard stuff so far. Fast enough, good mileage, mid-range gas, handles very well...like a rock at 80+ mph! My other bike is a '04 V-Rod which I bought new. While th...

Cold Weather
I've ridden short distances (20-25 miles) in 27f degree weather. Dress in layers longjohns, underarmor, henley shirt, and my TourMaster Flex system. Great textile outfit for ALL seasons! Mesh to lined cold weather gear...reasonably priced. Full-face helmate and a neck wrap called a turtle skin. I ha...

Obtaining torque settings
I figured this was as good a thread as any to pose my question. Where can I find torque settings for the filler on my '03 R1150R tank? I talking about the 6 small torx screws that secure the filler assembly to the tank.
I've looked in my Clymer manual w/o luck.

Learning to love my R1150R
I agree with all your observations...especially the brakes. Mine are not ABS...wish that they were. I was used to my HD V-Rod and there's a world of difference. I'd like to detune them just a bit. One observation that I'd add is that I found 2nd gear a little close (ratio) to 1st. I've gotten used t...

BMW Engine Guards
I belong to the those that have club...probably about 18-25 mph...didn't really look at the speedo. The engine still got some rash...minor, mostly paint. Right across the MAGNESIUM...last few characters are a little difficult to read. The gaurd is shot...bought new ones. My question...are there any ...

Boy was I glad to stumble on this dialogue. I too am new to the R1150R...my other bik's a V-Rod. I don't mind the klunks but would like to be a bit smoother...I'm sure that comes w/practice. I kinda like the riding position...didn't think I would. But those front brakes....I was out practicing quick...
