Changing instrument panel warning lamps

With apologies if this has been covered elsewhere but could someone please tell me how to get at the lamps - low-fuel etc - on the instrument panel?

Removing tank stickers

Has anyone managed to remove the stickers on their fuel tank? I've started to remove mine but I'm getting nowhere fast, even after warming them with a hair drier

Great photos and accompanying comments gunga din! For a moment there I thought your 'obligatory church photograph' depicted a full sized building - until I looked again... great shot! Thanks very much for sharing your ride with us :) BTW, I know what you mean about the discipline required to make re...

Big file (22 MB) so be patient as it loads but it includes all the wiring for your 04 R. Source is the Haynes Service Manual.
Excellent! Thanks very much, Michael! :D

Fuel low level warning light

Would I be correct in assuming that power is permanently applied to the fuel low level warning light and that it illuminates only when the tank float switch closes and applies an earth to the circuit? My reason for asking is that I have a fault with the lamp - it's intermittent, but on most of the t...

R1150R wiring diagram?

Can someone please point me in the direction of an electrical wiring diagram for my 04 R1150R?

I'm trying to get to the bottom of an infuriating, intermittent fuel low-level warning light fault.

Thanks in advance

Re: Throttlemeister Cruise Control

Further to my earlier post in this thread... how does one turn throttle locks like the Throttlemeister - SAFELY! - whilst, at the same time, holding the throttle itself steady? My experience with the Throttlemeister is that it's extremely awkward and hazardous to do so.

Re: Throttle Synchronisation

No, not the same at all. The synchronator has to be calibrated up 50cc's to accomodate the increase in fuel loss on the TPS values. Air notwithstanding. Once you get the modular OBT synchronator calibrated properly, just apply any knowledge gained from this email to a warm damp cloth and wipe off t...

Re: Throttlemeister Cruise Control

I've got a Throttlemeister fitted. It looks great in polished stainless steel, but ... it's very difficult - imo dangerously so - to engage/disengage whilst riding - a third hand would be useful!. The inabilty to enage/disengage easily whilst riding renders the device almost useless, imo. Holding th...

Can anyone identify these lights (+ mounts) and, if so, would anyone know if they're available in Europe? In addition to being functional, I think they'd look great on my black R1150R! :D

Re: I'm going to ask again...

Some months back, I posted my way of telling where I am in the gearbox. In 4th gear the tach and speedo needles match; that is, they are in the same position on the dials. In third, the tach reads a bit higher than the speedo. In fifth, the tach is a bit lower than the speedo. So, there you have th...

I'm going to ask again...

...can someone please explain to me how you can tell which gear you're in by comparing the rpm and speed indications? There's a wide band of speed/rpm variation for each gear and I simply can't get the hang of it!
