Re: Stumped - won't start
I understand as these things can get fustrating. The relays rarely fail and if not the kill switch it almost surely is the switch in the clutch leaver. Remember if the side stand is in the down position and the trany is in any gear (or no neutral light) the starter button will not work (without the...

Re: Stumped - won't start
Albeit regretfully, I am tapping out and will take it to the dealer for repair. I spent the past two hours taking apart the kill switch/starter hosing and I couldn't see any broken wires. I got in as far as I could - going in any further, like to the wiring under the ignition, probably exceeds my sk...

Re: Stumped - won't start
I have a similar thread on the MOA forum - they recommended checking connectors and fuses. Tried all that too.

Re: Stumped - won't start
It's not the side stand, kill switch, or in gear. The thing that really has me is I'm not hearing the fuel pump start up. I suppose it could wire connection from throttle to the fuel pump I suppose, and I will certainly check again tomorrow (getting too dark in the garage).

Stumped - won't start
I went out to fire up the r1150r this afternoon, and hit the starter button - no click, click, click - nothing. I don't hear the fuel pump whine either. I tried jump starting it, still nothing. Lights, clock, horn, brakes and all other electric circuitry seems to work. I replaced the handlebar riser...

Just got a tall seat - world of difference
I just put the tall Rockster seat on my 2004 r1150r and took it for a spin. MAN what a noticeable difference! At 5' 11" with long legs, I was just too cramped with the lower stock seat. If anyone needs a low seat, shoot me a note - I'd consider selling it (make me an offer) or trading it for so...

Re: NEW OWNER, seat height?
I've only owned my '04 for about a month and a half, but the low seat height was getting to me too. I just plopped down $143 for a used '04 OEM Rockster seat on ebay. I thought about saving the cash and using it toward a better aftermarket seat in the future, but I needed something now as my knees w...

Posting pictures is not intuitive - I'll try to figure it out when I have more time. It appears as if you cannot add them from your computer, you must instead link to a photo sharing website?

Stoked new owner of a 2004 R1150R!
My name is Jeff and I've been in the market for a good used motorcycle for a long time after selling my Bonneville a couple years ago. Although I found numerous bikes to purchase and came close on a couple, something just never felt right about them so I waited....and waited....and waited. I have al...
