I would say mudsling is definitely worth the money. It keeps all the nasty stuff away from shock and keeps area in front of the wheel a lot cleaner. Very functional.

Re: BMW Comfort Seat vs. Sargent Seat
I own my sargent seat for about 12k, it looks great, it's very comfortable for longer rides. Only think I can complain about is that is a bit slippery, especially for my wife. When I break little harder she slides forward and I slide all the way to the tank ;) No doubt it's a great seat I just wish ...

Re: Rok Straps on BMW System Side Cases
Great idea. I always had hard time to strap anything on top of the cases. CAD drawing just makes it even more easy to fab the brackets.
Thank You much, it will help me whole bunch on upcoming trip.

I installed set of Metzeler Z8 in late fall and only put about 500 miles on them, so far I like them. Hopefully I can get more than 8K-9K out of them

Re: ABDECKRING Installed
I mounted on my bike before winter it's about 10 bucks and it will keep water out. When i was instaling mine i found about quarter cup of water and plenty of rust,
it takes about 20 min to install.

Re: To Plug or not to Plug
If you can't decide between two things plug or inside out patch, choose the one that YOU feel most comfortable with and this way you will have peacfull mind and there will be nothing to worry about
IMHO inside/out plug is best way to go if you still want to get use out of that tire.

Re: setting valves and other stuff
In my case when i did my partial 12K before winter i found fluid in FD was somehow dark gray and in gear box was about the same. I did not find any large particles on my FD magnet plug only some like powder residue. I have read about amount of fluid in FD, some say it should be 180cc some say 230cc ...
