not me, but then I would imagine you knew that... ;) Yup, guessed it wan't you, though the description was eerily similar. :D P says she caught up with a copperhead at the lights and warned him about my rock getting lifted, the rider apparently got a bit 'off', so she just thought "sod...

Re: Fuel consumption - 100 miles to a tank!

Well, it seems that the problem has been sorted. When I say sorted, I mean more like the problem isn't mine anymore 'cos some thieving pikey has nicked my bike. I think my insurance co will now be telling me to bend over and take it dry. 8-[ I shall be taking bets on how long it takes...

Re: Fuel consumption - 100 miles to a tank!

Hi folks!

This post is more just to record a polite response - I haven't had a chance to look through all the suggestions yet (mainly due to a lack of web time), but I will do and will report back soon.

Cheers,

Fuel consumption - 100 miles to a tank!

Hi all, It seems that my Rockster has turned into an unleaded-aholic. I used to get about 145 miles into a tank before the fuel light came on. This was with a pillion, riding 80 miles a day (60 on DCW/motorway and 20 in London traffic). Now I'm getting to 95/100 befor the fuel light introduces itsel...

Re: Workshop Manuals

Cameron, I have an 04 1150R with ABS and have done my own brake bleeds following the procedures suggested in the links below. There are two separate systems that you'll need to bleed - control & wheel circuits. You'll need to remove the tank to get to the control circuits. The wheel circuits ar...

Workshop Manuals

Good afternoon! Yesterday my Rockster's ABS/servo system decided to pack up and leave me without brakes. With the help of a friend I managed to get them working again, but I think I might need to top up the fluid in the servo unit. Unfortunately I have no idea where the servo unit is. Does anyoine h...

Headlight - bulb replacement

Good afternoon folks,

I need to replace the dipped beam bulb on the LHS (as you sit on the bike) light unit.

Can anyone tell me if this is a relatively simple task and/or advise me of the correct bulb fitment (i.e. H1 etc...).

Thanks in advance.

I've fitted a set of Renthals to my Rockster.

I had to make do without the heated grips until I can sort the bar ends out, but overall I'm happy with them. I should point out that they are styled akin to the standard 'R' bars, much more confidence inspiring IMO. :)

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a soft copy of a Rockster repair and maintenance manual, something similar to Haynes?

My TDM used to average that on a daily motorway commute until the emulsion tubes were replaced. :(
