Re: I'm out..
Hello again guys, I've now had my R1200S for three days, and ridden about 400km (not that much, but it has been raining a lot lately). First, I don't regret the change. It was really hard letting the Rockster go, because in my opinion it's one of the best-looking bikes ever 8) I never had any proble...

I'm out..
Hi guys, I traded in my Rockster for a brand new R1200S last week, so I'm out of this thread. Since there's no dedicated R1200S-thread I'm more or less out of this site as well :? This thread has been a very valuable resource for me, and surely for many others as well, so keep up the good work =D>

Perhaps you could upload a picture of this?ROBOX wrote:I have a connector to the battery under the seat right at the front. I can plug in an optimax charger there. Seems to work fine and am pretty sure it is BMW factory installed.

That's cool
Btw, where did you get the passenger seat replacement thing? Custom made?
And is it like a compartment where you can store things? Saw something like this in a BMW-catalogue once..

Re: Edition 80 owner's database
During my vacation in Brazil, I ran into the #1249 Limited Edition. For sale in Sao Paulo with only 2500 km on the guage. How on earth is that possible in a 12-million people city? I guess my hotel was close to the dealership... Quite a coincidence :) I've updated the database with the info, thanks...

You might want to check out this

As said in the post I had a fuel leakage, and it wasn't easy to spot at first.
But it was the increasing fuel consumption that got me checking my bike more throughly.

Hey there. I will tell you about the best thing you can use. It does amazing job on the tank, plastics, even on your car dash. No shine, no wax. It is the legendary 303 Aerospace Protectant. Re: Opinions on the Schuberth S1 helmet
Hi there, I own and use a Schubert S1, and I'm really happy with it. I've used it for three years now, and mostly ridden niked bikes (two Ducati Monsters and now the Rockster). The helmet is really quiet, and the Monster is really loud :D I also really enjoy the internal dark shield; perfect for sun...

I just ordered and fitted the R1150GS handguards myself. The left hand side fits without modification, the right hand side needed a bit of trimming - I used a wood file to make a bit more room for the cables. Some say they made it fit without modifications at all - but in my case there just wasn't e...

Edition 80 owner's database
Hi guys,
I've made a database containing all the information that m@rko has gathered about Ed80 bikes and owners. You can find it here:
http://konsekvens.no/ed80/
Currently it holds 35 bikes. You can list all bikes or search using Edition-number.
Enjoy

Gas leak - campaign
Hi all, just discovered a fuel leakage on my Rockster. There's a leak on the right side, where the fuel hose is connected to a smaller hose that enters the engine. The leakage varies from just a few drops to quite a lot. Called my local dealer who told me that this was a known problem on the Rockste...

Maintaining the paint
Hi guys,
I was wondering how you maintain the paint on the bike - especially the tank. Do you use regular polish (even polish it at all)?
Thanks,
