Re: Drilling out my baffle

The bent insert is the Street insert, the straight one is the Race insert. The bent "Street" insert just keeps the sound level lower because its not a straight shot through the exhaust. I'm not sure what drilling holes in your Street insert would do, but it may make it louder as you suspec...

Re: Drilling out my baffle

Which of the two inserts are you referring to? Do you have both inserts?

I'm a little shorter and just went back to the stock seat. You can buy my hardly used Sargent seat if you would like...let me know. Thanks.

Re: Engine Guard, Pegs and Tank Bag

I didn't know the cylinders were offset. How far offset are they? I'm not sure if there is any compensation in the ELF pegs. I've never noticed them feeling much different, but I don't use them a lot. And i have only ridden 2,000 total miles since buying the bike. I'd go out and ride it and pay clos...

Re: Engine Guard, Pegs and Tank Bag

My setup is the BMW plastic cylinder head covers, and the Elf foot pegs...I like the pegs because they're not noticeable until you flip them out. Check out the attached link:

Re: Best use for the two holes in the rear fender ?

I think the cutoff look is the way to go.

For the best effect, take an old pair of jeans, cut a few inches below the pockets and pull the threads to get a nice denim "shag" going. Your choice of shirt and you're riding in style!!

Re: Best use for the two holes in the rear fender ?

I cut the fender off just below the license plate...it shows more of the rear rim and tire.

Ditto from Minnesota where too long of a winter means too short of a riding season! I'm with you, can't wait to start riding again soon!

Re: NEW OWNER, seat height?

Does anyone know the relative difference in height between the seats?...the stock, vs. the Low seat vs. a Sargent? I've done some searching here and couldn't find it posted. Sorry if I missed it.

Re: Mondo Bullet Lights

Hey RVB1019, I like what you've done with those lights....I think I'm going to do the same. I've got some questions for you, please: 1. Can you provide more details on how you mounted them in the oil cooler bolt holes (any up close pics)? 2. Any challenges or things to be careful of in order to moun...

Re: Beemeridian went down Sunday 1/13/2013

So sorry to read this. Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery! My brothers friend died a few months ago in a fluke 20mph motorcycle accident...he was 30 and built like a brick you-know-what. We all love riding our R's, but it is so very dangerous with those cagers all around. Safe riding eve...

Re: Speedster aka Flyscreen kit

I've got a very nice Speedster tinted windscreen on my bike now. Thought about keeping it for rides here and there, but would rather just use the touring screen I just ordered. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Happy riding! Thanks,

Re: Pilot road 3's installed

I've got a set of PR3's on my '04 R1150R with about 1,500 miles on them. I am very pleased with these tires...great performance/confidence in corners and sounds like they will last too! I would recommend them.
