i'm 5' 7.5" with a 29/30 inseam and the standard height seat was a bit high. i rode around on it for about 6 months before getting the lower seat, which is more comforting when in tricky situations.

now i have a standard height seat if anyone needs one...

I have a 2004 R1150R and my battery has died. My understanding is that partway through 2004, an external lead to the positive battery terminal was added.

How do I know if I have the correct model, and if so, where is the lead?

Otherwise... any tips on bump starting?

i bought my bike to ride around the city and i find my left hand tired after riding for ~20 minutes because of the amount of force required to operate the clutch. i'm mainly riding in in stop and go traffic with lots of hills so i need to operate the clutch a majority of the time. i've taken to goin...

ouch. at $200, it hardly seems worth it for such a small scratch. perhaps i will just have to live with it.

I have a scratch on my gas tank that goes down to the metal. It also goes over a sticker, but that part appears to not be down to the metal.

Any tips on how I might get this fixed? Should I take it to a detail shop? how much might that cost?

most bikes that i have ridden don't have a fuel gauge... in fact, most don't even have a low fuel warning--they just have a reserve.

that said, i've mainly ridden older (>5 years), so maybe things have changed with modern bikes.

can you sell it to someone in the US?
