Re: Do You Drive A German Car?
Golf TDI daily driver -- love the diesel: http://www.fuelly.com/driver/websterize/golf. If they bring the GTD stateside, my marriage might end. Same here. I think the car gets better MPG than the bike. Love them both. I must be afflicted with some sort of German virus. http://i1340.photobucket.com/...

Re: The R1200R Photo Discussion Thread!
Hello all. Used to be in Brooklyn, but then I could not go for lunch rides like these. These are from the Blue Ridge Parkway a couple of weeks ago. http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/o728/ion1017/IMG_0447.jpg http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/o728/ion1017/IMG_7515.jpg Thank you all for the inspir...

Re: Transmission oil question
Hi Here are a couple of links that I have found for the valve adjustment thing. I was planning on doing this myself soon. I will also check out the service manual DVD. Also, the Jim VonBaden DVD seems like a good investment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8jxG1CH8tc and http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Re: Considering the R1200R. A few Questions
Hi I ride in NYC and the bike is phenomenal. I find it very handles traffic very well, although you do have to get used to the engine sticking out while filtering at lights. It has not been that hot yet, but so far I have not seen the engine temps go up except one time when I was stuck in traffic ne...

Re: EZ Pass.
Hi I too like zipping through the toll passes and would have probably stuck it to a windshield, but I don't have one yet. Instead I use one of these: http://www.jjcyclepass.com/bike1.htm I ride an 07 R12R and it turns out that the handlebars are a little too thin in diameter for the holder. I guess ...

Hi.
Gorgeous bike. Love the color.
But how come it looks like you have the standard (sport) seat? I thought the newer models all came with the comfort seat.

Re: New rider and EWS at 60mi/hr?
Welcome to another Brooklyn Rider with R1200, i dont see any when i ride Thanks for the welcome, but on Thursday I saw TWO R1200R's on the West Side Highway in front of me. That made 3 R's in one block; what are the odds? I am near Prospect Park, and Cross Country does look closer. What time are yo...

Re: New rider and EWS at 60mi/hr?
I don't know what to make of the battery. Some suggest that it could be cracked, as this is known to happen to the oe exides. When I first brought the bike home, I did not use it for about a week and a half and it hesitated on startup. After that, I put the bike on the canbus tender and it never rea...

Hi, was looking around the other day and saw this:

Just passing it along in case you did not see it. I followed it from the "Selling the R1200R" from objectuser in the buy/sell/trade section. I hope I understood correctly.

Re: New rider and EWS at 60mi/hr?
Thanks for the input. It might be a good idea to take a ride to your favorite dealer, introduce yourself and ask them to check the VIN to see if the recalls are up to date. Now that the weather is cooperating, I will probably stop by the local MAX BMW. According to them, the bike had the brake line ...

New rider and EWS at 60mi/hr?
Hello all. I'm new to this forum, new to riding, but have been obsessivelly lurking for a while. After about 10 yrs of marriage, I got the wife to break down last summer and let me get something with two wheels. She only agreed to a scooter, so I got a Vespa GTS 250 but I knew this was just the way ...
