My happiness with this bike is also pretty limited at the moment. I am new to the R with only about 1,000 miles on the bike since I bought it. I love the looks and the engineering of the bike and I am not ready to give up on it yet, but something needs to "click" fairly soon for me to keep...

Thanks for the info....That explains why I am not seeing R's being "parted out" on Ebay.

Does anyone have an idea what a complete used R1150R engine would sell for?

Yes but....Front end modifications are a pretty popular upgrade for them also

OK...after 3 weeks I gotta admit the "beak" is starting to grow on me.

Granted, my R is the first shaft drive I have owned in over 20 years (I had an '80 Suzuki GS850 way back when), but I do not remember any twist or torque from the drive shaft. I assume the twitch I feel when accelerating hard on my R is from the single side swing arm, and normal for this bike. Comme...

I would like to replace the front fender on my R1150R with something more "normal" looking. Does anyone have suggestions of other BMW models or aftermarket suppliers with bolt on options?
