Doug & Pete Yes my previous was the Uly. It really does snap on the twisties and it was a pleasure to ride. It is short in comparison to the R12R but was not good for the motorways (well at least not at my fitness level). The quality was just not up there with BMW (I moved from a GSA to the Uly)...

As yet there are no fitments for the 2011 R1200R from OEM suppliers however they should be coming out shortly. I spent hours in May emailing and talking to the main OEM suppliers for BMW equipment and eventually settled on Touratech but the key parts have not received TUV certification.

My bike, 2011 R1200R Classic, has ESA and as I seldom carry a pillion I am not sure that it is worth the extra money. I bought the bike off the showroom floor as I wanted rid of the Buell before its warranty ran out :lol: but I seldom change the suspension settings and could have done that manually....

I have now played with my 2011 R1200R Classic for 2,000 miles and whilst I love the bike I find in many areas it is a compromise too far and is forcing me to look at high cost modifications. Having tried the seat that comes with the latest Classic (the one that looks like a sway-backed camel) I bought a standard R1200R (2010) seat which was far more comfortable and allowed me to move my backside forward and back.
