Re: She let me down in the rain
I had similar troubles on a trip to Canadian East Coast, ran into rain and bike would not run. Thought Hall Sensor, found garage, finally tech jumped right in and found the problem.....wires for side stand had rubbed together enough behind a clip to bare them. Add the rain, instant short, and no fuel...

Re: Ever see a bike trailer like this?
The design looks good, it is pretty hard to beat homemade quality. I would like to look at a few safety items... fill in the bed of the wagon, you will scrape an ankle on the way down,oh baby it hurts, yup done it!, add many places to tie down items. I use "D" rings at all 4 corners, and ...

Re: Tire wear
I'm sure now that I have been running to low of a tire pressure. That will change, I'm going to run 40 in both. That is as soon as the snow goes, today it is trying to snow again.....

Re: Tire wear
Would 40psi in front tire be a good idea for the RT? I'm a tender 180lbs and do mostly solo riding. I have been running 32 -34 as the manual states,I'll bump it up and keep a watch. With ABS, all braking is pretty much synchronized.

Tire wear
I bought an 02 1150RT used, in the "box o stuff" that came with it was a Michelin front tire (with lots of tread depth) that has some unusual wear. The tire is almost flat across the centre, with what looks like some cupping on edges of the flat spot. I have Dunlop's on the bike now, and ...

Jealous of the fact you got a ride in, not the reason though. Did you put olives on the sub? Try it...you might like it. You will forget about buddy soon enough, minus 18c,yes I will wait for spring. Still jealous though.

Re: need info and advice..!
Sasha When I was looking for a bike I was looking in the New York/ Pennsylvania area as well. When I checked into it I found out it would be under a thousand dollars to bring up a BMW. They pass all the requirements in stock form. Not all manufacturers do. There is an agency of the gouvernment that...

Sasha, In the grand province of Ontario(tongue in cheek) your M1 is only good for 90 days, you must move up to M2 after the 90th day. I took my course shortly after I wrote the the M1, and had to wait till the 90th day to update my lic. Now if you have had your bike license for some time, try to ke...

Re: Importing A BMW Motorcycle From Germany
Before I bought mine I was going to import from the states, it was not really a big deal....mostly because of the manufacturer..BMW is HIGHLY regarded. It was a paperwork deal only and a payment to Ministry, for the deal. Total cost was less than one thousand bucks. That was certified and plated...r...

Re: BMW System 7 helmet in the new R12R photos?
I own the same helmet, it is BMW.As to what model I don't know. I bought all mine/wife's gear at dealer in Ajax. I was there looking at bikes and salesperson told me of sale coming up. I think they were clearing out for end of season and new product line. I geared us both up, $3000.00 of gear for $...
