Hi Just bought an accessory socket from John Deer to put on my 03 R1150R. I located the wire behind the starter for this socket. However there is a clip on it? Hmmm... Do I cut this clip off? If so, which wire goes where? Does it matter? One wire is red the other brown. Or do I just buy the BMW one ...

Hi,
Yes I had a dent in my gas tank on my 03 R1150R- size of a small apple.
they pulled/popped the dent out and you would not even know where it happened.
otherwise check ebay and maybe you can find a good deal on a "gently" used tank & replace
