After having tested a R1200GS I have decided to explore the possibility of fitting handlebar protectors to my R1150R. Is there a readily available kit, stock or aftermarket, that will fit the R1150R?

OK folks, but I flawed and did not mark them. So how do I now know which is which - and what are the conesequences of driving with them swapped?

After having taken off my tank( 2003 R1150R) for the first time, and having reassembled the bike, I only now realise that there is a need to be careful to mark which tank breather lines are connected to which, as - supposedly - failure to reconnect properly will give me big problems when I try to ru...

One more question; Can the battery be safely quick-charged by using the positive terminal/connector the starter and negative to engine /fram somewhere?

Thank you again for the responses. I will follow your advice, Maduko, and avoid removing the tank. My battery is brand new ,and the bike has not been run since I installed it some weeks ago, so alternator /Diode board should not be an issue - I suppose.

My local Beemer supplier is unable to come up with a good bike cover that I can throw over my R1150R without frying the cover on hot pipes when the bike has just been running.

Surely there is a product out there that addresses this issue in a proper manner?

The LeoVince SBK can was easy to mount , 20 min. labour. With the removable muffler insert out an away my R1150R has aquired a much deeper but still quite unobtrusive exhaust note.

I have just bought myself a titanium Leo Vince SBK Exhaust can for my 03 R1150R and plan to install it during the coming weekende. Any listers with experience on this can? Mounting, sound, need for adjustment of carburation etc??

I have recently aquired a 2003 R1150R, and I am pondering about fitting a soft case to the luggage carrier.
