Re: After market exhausts - R1100R
Motad are doing a link pipe and end can in stainless, they were on offer when I bought mine. Low level like a RS or Rt so you can fit big panniers with a bit of adaption to the footrest fitting.

I HAVE NOTHING OF VALUE TO ADD TO THIS POST
Of course, if I write bollocks, then I reserve the right to remove it so nobody can see it.

Re: '04 R1150R ABS Servo
The original poster said that he had a 2004 R1150R and we have now found that there may have been a change in the way the servo operates, some do, some dont and some dont know if they do. It is my opinion that a 2004 R1150R does stop making the noise when the rear pedal is pressed hard and i will st...

Re: Holding the bike on a slope
when stopped on a hill. it would appear that if you stamp on the back brake really, really hard, the pump stops, no noise, no wear. I still have to try this but there is a new post on here that says it works.

Re: Keep stalling it in first. @#$!!!
The problem with having to slip the clutch will ultimately wear the centre plate and this is not an easy bike to replace the clutch on.
On a more positive note, I bought a 1100rs motor with 60,000 miles and the clutch looks plenty OK
I will still fit a new one though.

Well I did not know that, I will try it tomorrow, I have often wondered about wear and tear when stopped on a hill, now I know.

Re: Rear Brake Caliper 'issue'
Yup, thats where it goes, might be worth checking the level, but if the self-test and warning lights are all OK, you should be alright.
there are some excellent walkthroughs on here, search for " bleed ABS " or wait for someone else to point you in the right direction. Good luck.

Re: 850 to 1100 cafe racer project
Hi Oliver, I really want the torque of the 1100 and would like to try it with the 850 rear drive ratio. The roads round here can be hilly with plenty of corners. Also the 1100rs is more powerful than the 1100r and I have a cat and tip that was on my 1150, that has now got a y pipe and Akrapovic tita...

Re: 850 to 1100 cafe racer project
Hi Combat, you seem to have missread my post a little, I have a complete 1100 engine with 67,000 miles on it but to change it would involve rebuilding the whole bike. My idea is to swap the cylinders and heads, change the ECU for one from an 1100 and see what I have got. A few other subtle mods. fro...

850 to 1100 cafe racer project
I have a 1995 850R and have an engine from a 1100RS, the most powerful 1100. I want to change the barrels and heads over to make a quick cafe racer, something along the lines of Oliver who has the lovely 1100 on here. Now I know the cranks are the same and the crankcases, even down to the head studs...

Re: Tank bag advice
Hi. They are actually made in France by Baglux, Bagster is the English importer. check out the French Tri-color on every cover. I have used them on all my recent bikes and have one on order for my R1150R in dark red, its lighter than the other red option which is a bit of a maroon colour. I have an ...
