Well the "rattle" could be anything from a loose bit to whatever. When was the last time you had the valves inspected?

Well its kind of hard to find time to ride when:

A) I have a family with a 21month old boy
B) I work for a silicon valley networking company
C) I have 5 different bikes to ride

I cannot remember the name of the warrenty company off hand, but you are correct in thinking it was not offered by BMW.

The warrent I got was a Zero deduc on all non-wear parts for 7 years unlimited mileage.

My Rock decided to throw its starter after 3700 miles. I have owned the bike for three years now and was suprised that the starter gave up the ghost so early.
