Bmwk100, Don't blame yourself. These immature rantings were my fault and I'll refrain from future unnecessary comments.
Safe riding to all.

GFY - what a pleasant response. Ill go and 'F' myself right after I finish in my garage photographing my tyres to show you all how awesome I am that I don't have chicken strips. Re: Back to the dark side.
Lost Rider, I couldn't agree with you more. Talking about HD's on an R1200R forum is just plain silly. Anyway mate, how's you partners flash F800R going? Also, its been a while now since you've told us all about your other bikes. I trust that the F800GS is running well mate, please post some more ph...

Quick ESA question
Gday everyone,
I have an 08 R1200R fitted with ESA. Does the ESA adjust the front and the rear suspension units, or does it adjust the rear only.
Many thanks,
Jed.

I found an old thread where people discussed how fast our bikes could go. Quite interesting: http://www.r1150r.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=18393&p=161772&hilit=how+fast+will#p161772 I have taken my bike to 205 km/h before, with the BMW touring screen and also panniers fitted at the ti...

Re: Busted
Going 50 in a 30 cost me $40 — my first speeding violation in 20 years. This bike will do that to you. 50 mph in a 30 mph zone = 20 mph over the limit. That is about 32kmh over the limit, which here in the state of Queensland (Australia) would cost me $466 and half of my licence points! More than 4...

Re: Helmet Lock
I went to the Phillip Island round of the Moto GP last year and saw these for sale at one of the product stands:

Not sure if anyone's seen these before, but they seem like a great idea.
Cheers,
Jed.

Re: Potential problem
G'day Brian,
I while ago, I posted a subject about the same problem:
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=19074
I still have water that builds up around the fill cap that I dry out with a paper towel etc too. Was it a hard problem to fix at all?
Thanks,
Jed.

As annoying as this is Jed, sorry mate but it will be you! Your doing something wrong for it to happen half the time. Either your not pulling in the clutch and sincing it with your foot change or visa versa. You could be quite right. A bad tradesman always blames his tools, as they say. I gu...

Annoying Neutral.
Hi all, Sometimes we all have the need to zip our bikes away from the lights to get in front of traffic, have a bit of fun, etc. About half the times that I do, the bike will go from 1st to neutral resulting in the embarrassing "I thought I had second gear" rev. Its really starting to p155...

Takemeaway, That footage looks great, just what I was after. Thanks very much for taking the time to post that for me, I really appreciate it. I think you have sold me on the GoPro with the suction mount if the footage is that good at the different places you monted it. The video that I have shot wi...

It sounds like mounting on the helmet is going to be the best option.

Re: Camera mount advice please?
Im still having a few problems trying to find a good place to mount a video camera on the bike to cut the vibrations down. I want to leave mounting a camera on my helmet as a last resort as Im not overly keen on using an adhesive to stick the mount on. Ive had a look at quite a few Youtube videos in...

Re: Petrol Tank
Dave, Thanks for that diagram that you posted, that's very helpful and I really appreciate it. I think that the Aussie model (and others) does not have the charcol canister fitted. I thought that those hoses might be just drain hoses, so Im glad it doesnt seem to be a major issue. David, Thanks for ...

Hi Hoflix, In relation to the Ram mount point, I posted a question a few weeks ago (title was 'Camera mount advice please?' - Sorry but I don't know how to post a link). I just acquired a Ram mount and I think its great quality etc. I strapped a normal digital camera to it and attached it to the mid...

Petrol Tank
Hi everyone, Recently when Ive been filling my tank, afterwards Ive noticed a petrol smell and slight dripping from the right side of the tank. I had a close look tonight and I noted that a few hoses that appear to be disconnected. http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac338/jed2/IMG_0917.jpg and close...

Re: is this normal?
It definitely looks like you have a seal problem there. I do believe that this issue will be resolved under warranty. I had a leaking seal in the counter balance shaft which was fixed under warranty without any problems at all.
Good luck with it.
