protection for rear brake line
I ride fairly aggressively, and am generally on my arches. I wear Sidis and the side of the boot/heel has worn through the hard plastic covering the brake line from rear master cylinder.

Thanks for the pics! "... but I find it very effective." - And it's up and out of the way. I have the sport screen, but will play with the mounts to see what kind of clearance I can get.

I put the F800 mirrors on mine and haven't regretted it once.

Re: Looking for pics of GPS mounting options for ouR bike
Thanks, everyone. I'm leaning toward the ram mount handlebar clamps, but also saw an offset mount for the mirror. I'd like it to the left and as unobtrusive as possible. I REALLY don't want to mess up the clean lines of this wonderful machine.

Looking for pics of GPS mounting options for ouR bike
Hi all - I just picked up a Zumo 550 and am looking for pictures of final installations. I have put a number of things on the bike that I regretted and removed once installed. I'l like to do THIS one only once.
I'll be running the power to my canbus helper.

I am using the High Seat (Bench Type). I bought a High Comfort Seat, used it once for about 2 hours and HATED IT.

SADMAX - You're using a "Low" seat? Ugh. We are close to the same height and I had monkey butt with the normal seat. It was only after the King of the Alps suggested that I try the tall seat that my life became easier, and my butt less monkeyish.

SDMAX - SDBMWMC has a PIAA horn on display that will make your neighbors hate you. The guys will install it using the OEM plug in.
It's on my list.

Re: 2011 models
The way I read, "The following models will keep their current Model Year designation with no changes to options or packages..." It will be a 2011 R1200R, but with no changes from the 2010. Me thinks they're waiting to see how the DOHC works out before putting it into the Roadster. They are...

Re: Brake Lever/Twist grip interference question
I just bought and installed a set on my '07 R12R. Clutch lever works great - Brake side doesn't come in far enough to fully engage. Got the same story about no chance of adjustment.
Man, I NEED that front brake - Levers go back and the search continues.

I bought an '07 with 10200 miles on it last June. Today it has more than 38K.
Sport Screen, heated grips ands center stand are a must.
I wanted exactly what I ended up with: A bike that responds to my input - not what a servo thinks I want to do.
LOVE MY BIKE!

I like the idea of dragging my laptop along with me, but was hoping someone would come up with a hardshell case or top case that would work something like the sidebags.
