Re: R1200R Buzz/Vibration
That's great that you've got it sorted John. As Don mentioned, the dealer I went to (reputable) used fans to cool the engine after I rode it there and then they did their adjustments. Ironically, the dealer that I bought it from initially (also reputable) had told me that when I was bringing it in f...

Re: R1200R Buzz/Vibration
Hi John and Don, I'm the lucky one that rode to Don's house and had him adjust the valves and throttle body sync. It's a 2007 as well and I still have it and am still happy with the performance! Thanks Don! You went above and beyond! Fell of the radar for a while and been enjoying the vibrations of ...

Re: Indicator bulbs - chrome amber
Hi All, Thanks for the responses. My '07 came from the dealer with the clear lenses with the amber bulbs which I'm trying to replace with the silver chrome amber ones. The LED replacements would work, however, the price difference is significant enough for me to at least go with the chrome amber one...

Indicator bulbs - chrome amber
Hi, I'm not much of a farkler (have only 1 mount for smartphone so far), however, I would like to change the yellow/amber indicator/directional bulbs on my '07 R12R to the chrome amber type as I have the clear lenses. Unfortunately, I've only seen these available for earlier models. Has anyone fitte...

Re: '07 R1200R
Robyn,
Last year I bought a new leftover 2007 R12R and just did the 6000 mile service last week. In that time I've had no issues at all. As for a price comparison, I got it with zero miles, the side cases and rack included for $13K flat.
Regards,
Lance

Re: Windshields
I'm one who took the sport screen off and like it better that way. I noticed that little turbulence with the shield but never having any shield before, it was easy to switch to not having one for this bike. As for high speeds, I enjoy the workout. And after loosing 7 pounds on my 2 week trip this su...

Re: New member intro
Takemeaway - As motorcycle_girl and others recently said, I was generally too busy riding to take too many pictures and therefore there aren't many to choose from. I did take some video while riding but that was of the other riders I was with (none were BMW's). I should be able to get one or two of ...

Re: New member intro - Update - additional info.
Hi All again, Just wanted to say the trip is over (in July) and I made it back in one piece as well as the bike. Covered 3600 miles over the 2 weeks and camped all but 3 of those days. Bike performed beautifully. I did it with the stock standard seat and, while mostly tolerable, can now understand w...

Re: New member intro
Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes! I will surely bring a camera on the trip and post anything not too incriminating.
Although a lot of technical topics have been covered here, I'm sure I'll come up with something at some point.
Best regards,

New member intro
Hi All, I just wanted to say "Hi" and that there's another R1200R rider out there now. :D I recently purchased a 2007 leftover model (Granite Grey) and I'm enjoying it thoroughly (only put 350 miles on so far). The bike reviews and this forum both helped make my decision to go with this mo...
