I never liked the motorcycle specific communications. Way to bulky and overpriced. Just get a couple FRS radios that can do VOX and some ear mics. Something like this... http://tinyurl.com/z7crl If you don't like having something stuck in your ear you can go for a throat mic. Something liket his... ...

Don't focus on going down...however, the opposing cylinders will save your legs if you do. I went down at around 30 mph or so and slid with the bike not coming down and crushing me. only damage is to the plastic cylinder guard and to the cylinder head cover which is scraped. If you're thinking that...

I am not sure I follow that. When I "blip", the clutch is pulled in. To me, slipping the clutch means you are easing it out slowly.
Sorry, I misspoke. I ment to say what you posted :D

When you 'blip' the throtle you are slipping the clutch. Depending on how fast I'm going when I downshift I'll sometimes just let the clutch drag. If you are going at a pretty quick clip you should blip. Just one of those things that needs to be practiced to improve technique.

Unless there is an adaptor for your bike then a bike lift that takes both tires off the ground is out out of the question. generaly the only time you need that is for tire maintance. They have bike lifts that you roll the bike up on to get the engine at a better height for maintenance. Maybe $200 or...

If you blip the throtle when you downshift you won't get the chirp and it will save a lot of wear on your drivetrain.

I am surprized with all the fancy stuff they put on these bikes a slipper is not one of them

Thinking about getting a R1150R...

Hello everyone, I am currently riding a Ducati Monster and am looking for something sporty but with a little less extreme riding position. The Ducati just feels made for the twisties but not really made for a big guy like me. Just getting to the fun roads is killing me. The R1150R looks like an amaz...
