Thanks guys. I did come across a place that sold amsoil. I guess i over do it changing oil every 3k. I'll have to stretch that out to 6k. Saves me a 4 hour round trip to get oil. That means More time to find new riding places!! Sweet!!

I have used BMW synthetic oils in my 02 since I was able to use synthetic. I have 27K on it now. WHat oil does everyone else use? My 02 RR is a great bike. But I think it needs a little stronger exhaust tone. Stock just sounds a little weak. What are you running on your bikes? I don't want something too loud, just a nice strong tone that sounds hot!

What seat do you have on your bike and how does it rate for comfort and looks? I have an 02 R with the BMW tall seat and I can't ride for much more than an hour before I have to stop. And after about 200 miles I don't want to ride anymore.I also have a sheepskin cover that made it a little bit better.

Mine did this too, and it sounds to me like pinging. I asked the dealer about it and he told me if the valves are out of adjustment it could make that noise too. Try adjusting the valves and see what happens. I know mine was better after I adjusted them.

I run Z-6's and I run 32psi front and rear.I'm 190 lbs. How many miles do you get out of the tires with the higher pressure? I got 5500 miles on the stock dunlops and 6500 miles on the last Z-6's.

My sport screen brackets are small and I don't think they would get you in a crash.I'm not sure what the touring brackets look like.

I have a sport screen and I just take the four rubber inserts out of the windscreen and remove it, and leave the brackets on.

The bottom line is to be very carful no matter what. Look 3 times before entering an intersection. You just have to watch your a$$.
