Re: FINALLY!!!! Real Gear that is good!

I finally found some protective riding gear that meets all of my criteria. 1. Protective 2. Quality 3. Functional/Fit 4. CUTE It's been a nine month search, but it all came together in the last two days. Thanks to everyone who has sent me suggestions over the length of my search. And thanks to all ...

The responsibility is 100% with the Dealer . There are people that do zero work on their bike beyond maintaining a safe oil level and checking tire pressures. They take their bike to a dealer spending a good portion of a weeks salary because they want the difficult and/or safety related jobs done b...

Aren't they made in America? Yes, but what worries me is that their thinking may make this a Euro bike only since here we mostly buy the cruiser type. I dunno. Maybe someone more knowledgeable in Harley marketing and sales can enlighten us...er me. I don't claim any particular expertise in marketin...

Re: Widder Lectric Vest

Does anyone use the Widder Lectric Vest? Do you have an a) on/off switch, b) Bimetal Thermostat or c)Electronic Controller? What has been your experence? I have one (high collar style) with the Bimetal controller for the past five years, although it now doesn't get too much use in Arizona. I can al...

Slightly OT but I'll never forget a work colleague bringing his brand new Sportster to the office and showing it off to everybody. It was the small one, not the 1200. He's showing it off and I said 'but that's a girl's bike'. The look on his face was priceless. We never saw the little Sportster aga...

Re: New York State Motorcycle Accident Statistics

http://www.nysdmv.com/Statistics/2004NYS_MotorcycleSummary.pdf Interesting! BTW, according to the American Motorcyclist Association, New York state has NO state funded rider training program available for novice riders. Also N.Y. allows motorcycles to travel two abreast in a single lane. Could be a...

The R1200 is not the bike for that anymore. Bikes have become so expensive and so nichy that there is now a motorcycle for every purpose. BMW has made it pretty clear that if you want a touring bike, get out a bare minimum of $18,000. Sure, if you want to impress someone. But for that $18K you can ...

I owned a new 2004 Sportster (rubber mounted)... for about three months... then got my RR... and not for second, regretted going to the RR. Back in the early 1990's, I considered owning another Sportster. (My first Sport was a two year old 1966 XLCH, a real piece of sh*t) Anyway, I test rode a low ...

I'm glad to hear you're OK. The bike can easily be fixed but human body damage often takes quite a bit longer to repair. BTDT.

BTW, did the Police or EMT ask you if you were wearing a helmet??
