Thank you all for the great information
Thank you for the heads up on the recall. It was the male plastic part of the Q/C that failed (held in place by the metal clip) and not the clamp. I will fight the dealer on this one to see if they comp the service in lieu of the recall.

WARNING: '04 Rockster Fuel Leak
I decided to take my bike out for a ride 2 weekends ago on my usual route. I stop at a light and I smell gasoline (strong). I pull over and I discover a slow drip from the fuel line (CPC connectors). I try to fiddle with the connectors thinking that it's just loose; the leak becomes even worse (drip...

Tracking the Rockster
I did a crazy thing couple of weeks ago. I "tracked" the Rockster! Why was it so crazy? 1. Our bike weighs over 500lbs 2. Peak HP in the 80's 3. It's pretty damn expensive if you crash! 4. I was on sports touring tires Conclusion: 1. My sphincter muscle is MUCH tigher thank you very much 2...

I see pics of tire wear going out to the edge, and feel so inadequate as a rider. The best I've been able to do so far is to graze the elephants on my Z6s. No worries! I'm still removing seat material from my butt when I first heaved the Rockster into a corner. It took me a while to get used to the...

Re: avons
hrothgar02 What are your thoughts on the WET performance of your STs, They were good for me in the dry, but thier performance in the wet made me try Z6s and I think they are a better tyre in dry and the wet. What was it like for you? :? Call me a fair weather rider or wimp but I have zero experienc...

Avon ST 1200 miles report and pictures
Believe it or not, I squeezed 5500 miles out of my original Metzler Sportec. The steel belts were peeking through so new tires were in order. I did a lot of research and initally thought about ordering the Z6 but read a lot of positive reviews on the Avon ST's. My expectations were surpassed! There ...

Ducati Supermoto?!!!
I love my Rockster but when something this beautiful comes along you have to do a double take! My bike collector friend belongs to the Ducati Owners forum and he forwarded the images to me (just released 2 days ago). I think this is my next bike! http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d161/hrothgar02/duc...

My next bike! Never seen Ducati.
My devotion to my Rockster is strong but when something this awesome comes along, you do a double take! I got the images from a bike collector friend who is in the Ducati owners group. Theses photos were just released 2 days ago to this group; I promised you haven't seen anything like this before. h...
